Selecting Your AVCOM Company

When you are in the process of trying to decide what company and what products to use for the installation of your next project, you need to ask, "What are the critical functions we are looking for: clear, crisp sound; quality video; easy to use access control; paging to work with phone system; easy to train; easy to maintain; adaptable to add-on equipment; growth capability; etc.?"

Realizing how technical the AVCOM world is with its vast products varying in quality, capability, and price, it can be overwhelming trying to make a confident decision. Assuming all the companies considered are using the same equipment (which never happens), it must be understood that no two companies will install in the same manner. While there are "extras" that a company can do to make the operations of the system easier to maintain and run, there are also many "short cuts" that can make the operations of a system much more difficult and create future service issues.

Certainly, the cost of a project is important; however, in a high-tech field such as ours, it should not be the determining factor in the selection of a company or the equipment necessary to do the job well. However, there is one important thing to keep in mind. You need to know that the company you choose will work to serve you and your organization, and that it will use quality equipment and materials, and will have the ability to engineer, install, and service its work to your satisfaction. Let us share with you how our company operates:

Listening:

We begin by listening to you and your needs. We take the time to get to know you and your people, and how your facility is to be used. We also need to learn what you expect from us.

Analysis:

After we have taken the time to get to know you, we begin to get to know your existing facility and equipment. Rather than assuming that you need a completely new system, we consider all available equipment that you have and determine what pieces may be usable and reliable to incorporate into the design.

Design:

Whether simple or complex, each project receives our full attention to every detail from acoustical analysis to selection of equipment. We desire to design a system that will exceed your every expectation. In order to accomplish this, we take the time to research and know the products and solutions that are available, so that we can incorporate what will meet your individual needs the best. Often, we are asked, "What manufacturer of speakers do you use? What amplifiers? What cameras? What duplication equipment?" Our answer to these questions surprises many people, because we have been known to use multiple manufacturers of speakers, amplifiers, and microphones in a given project. We will use the products that allow us to best meet your needs in creating a system that is both efficient and cost effective. Often, an organization will have needs and desires that are far greater than the budget with which they have to work. In our design stage, we consider future needs and provide phased-in plans that will work together without having to replace equipment at a later date.

Proposal:

After we have completed the design, we create a proposal that explains exactly what we are offering to meet your needs. Each step of the design is broken down into how each works and what it will do for you. It will be one of the first proposals that you will read that actually makes sense and leaves you with confidence that you are dealing with the right company.

Decision Process:

Once you have our proposal, you will inevitably have questions and will need time to make your decision. We will be there for you and will work with you patiently. We have been known to take certain equipment into a facility to demonstrate how something will work. We will do all we can to make your decision the easiest part of the process. Every day, we see projects engineered and installed by others which have proven unsatisfactory, with customers complaining about the price and the lack of fair service. When you have questions or need assistance, we will be there for you!

Placing the Order:

Simply return a copy of the signed agreement with the deposit and we will take care of the rest. We will provide you with a projected schedule for product delivery, installation, and training. As changes need to be made, we will work with you and your people to make sure all goes well, in order to eliminate any unwanted surprises.

Installation:

This is where you get to see and know that you have made the right decision. Once our experienced team begins the work, you can witness their professionalism and commitment to detail. They are careful in dealing with your people and your property, even in the little things. It's that extra mile that we know makes the difference - like cleaning up our mess from day to day instead of waiting until the project is finished. It's just one of the ways we have developed such loyal clients.

Training:

We provide training for up to two members of your staff. If you require additional staff to be trained, we will work with you. Systems are worth little if not operated properly and we will instruct in proper use. We will provide a training session during the week of the installation and one after the system(s) is (are) implemented. Our goal is to make sure your staff is able to use the system(s) with confidence and excellence.

Support:

After we have completed the installation and the training, there will be need for follow-up service and there will be questions. Because you are important to us, the relationship is not over once we are paid. It has really just begun. We will be there for you through the years to provide answers to your questions and upgrades to your system(s), and we will be available as you need to make changes. In our view, it is not until we have completed three or more projects for you that we feel we have gained your total confidence and trust.

Our heart's desire is to provide systems and service that are technically state-of-the-art, mechanically sound and reliable, workable to your staff, and pleasing to the eyes and ears in every way.

AV/COM will work with your priorities and your budget to provide the best solutions. And, before AV/COM installs a sound system we know that it will be perfect - and we can prove it!
